We are a multi-functional kennel facility dedicated to the care of your canine family members. Our services include boarding, daycare, training and grooming. We are situated in rural Richmond, 20 minutes from downtown Vancouver and 10 minutes from the Vancouver International Airport. Nestled on an idyllic 5 acres of grassland next to the Fraser River, BC Canine boasts indoor and outdoor play rooms for our small and senior canines and large grassy outdoor runs with plenty of shade for our larger dogs. All boarding dogs have their own private kennel or crate which is sanitized daily. The staff at BC Canine are extremely dedicated to the safety and well-being of all our four legged visitors and are eager to answer any questions you may have.
BC Canine was established in 1999 as the Delta Police K-9 Training Center. Police dogs were trained for cadaver, drug and bomb sniffing as well as protection and security training.
You are warmly encouraged to visit our facilities and meet our staff between the hours of 11am to 3pm. We want you to experience the impeccable standards your pet will enjoy during his or her stay here.

AMANDA PHILLIPS, CPDT
Certified Professional Dog Trainer & Behaviour Specialist
Amanda Phillips is a graduate of Canada West Canine Centre, the first government registered school for professional domestic dog trainers in Canada. She is a current member of the Canadian Association of Professional Pet Dog Trainers.
As BC Canine’s head trainer, Amanda believes in the training philosophy of “becoming the pack leader”. Her formal education in dog psychology and canine behaviour allows her to go beyond basic obedience and standard commands. She will customize your dogs program to suit his or her breed, energy level, and unique personality.
Amanda’s continued success with her canine students and owners can be attributed her instinctual ability to communicate with dogs, her boundless energy and commitment to giving each and every dog 100%. Since the day she rescued her dog Asher, the challenge and subsequent success in rehabilitating him, left no doubt in Amanda’s mind that helping dogs to lead happy, balanced lives would be her life’s work. Her natural approach to dog training teaches the owner how to calmly and assertively establish leadership by giving the dog boundaries and rules to live by. |
